Are you ready to lead the future of warehouse automation? Visy Logistics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager with a project focus to spearhead the implementation and integration of cutting-edge automated warehouse systems, including ASRS and AGVs powered by Dematic and E80 technologies.
This is a rare opportunity to drive transformational change in one of Australia’s leading logistics operations. Reporting to the QLD State Manager, your role will be responsible for operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, cost management, scalability and sustainability.

What You’ll Do
- Lead Automation Projects: Manage end-to-end implementation of ASRS and AGV systems, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals
- Drive Operational Integration: Collaborate with warehouse teams to embed automation into daily workflows, develop SOPs, and ensure safety and compliance
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Monitor performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement system enhancements
- Engage Stakeholders: Act as the key liaison between internal teams, technology partners, and senior leadership
- Transition to Operations Leadership: Post-implementation, oversee day-to-day operations of the automated facility, driving productivity, cost efficiency, and scalability
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5+ years’ leadership experience in automation systems essential
- Extensive working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and system integration
- High level of IT literacy and experience with system integration
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in transformational change and Lean Six Sigma
